Hi Everyone, I am Kate Ellsworth Hinrichsen and I own The Lyon's Lair Antiques. I am a Fairfield County native currently living in Trumbull with my husband and two girls. I've had a lifelong love of all things antique which likely came from time spent with my mom and grandparents, the Lyon's, exploring their 18th-century Connecticut farmhouse. I was the girl who shopped SalvationArmy for vintage clothes in high school and wore an authentic 1930's beaded gown to prom. Damn, I wish that still fit!
My professional career began when in my early 20's I became manager, and subsequently co-owner, of an antique consignment shop in Connecticut and Charleston, SC.
All these years later I am still at it because, be it prom dresses or primitives, the thrill of the hunt has never died for me. The opportunity to save relics from the past and give them a new life, and a new home brings me a huge amount of joy.
I am so excited to share this opportunity with Denise and can't wait for you all to check out our new space.
